Summer Reading Suggestions: Four Favorite Fiction Books (or series)
Hey there! As you probably guessed, my name is Katherine Forster. I’m a nineteen-year-old author, poet, National Bible Bee champion, and managing editor for therebelution.com. My first book, Transformed by Truth: Why and How to Study the Bible for Yourself as a Teen, is releasing from Crossway on August 6, 2019.
Studying and memorizing the Bible changed my life, and I want to see it change the lives of other teens like me, too. This blog is where I write about Christ, the gospel, the imminence of eternity, and how the Bible impacts every moment of our lives.
I’m a homeschool graduate from Lutz, Florida; I currently attend Patrick Henry College, where I’m pursuing a Literature major.
Jesus Christ is my Savior, Christianity is my identity, God’s word is my passion. I want to see God’s glory in His word and be transformed by it.
I also believe that theology and art can and should coexist, and we’re made in the image of a God who created–so we should create too (as “subcreators,“ in J.R.R. Tolkien’s words). God is glorified when we make beautiful things, because it reflects His beauty. But in the end, the greatest works of art are human souls, and God is the Artist. His intention is for us to be formed into the image of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29), and if I can have even a small part in His work in this world, it’s a privilege beyond what I deserve.
Some of my favorite things are good books, thunderstorms, extra-dark chocolate, endless cups of tea, rich music, golden hour, and the skies at sunset.
I struggle with my own pride and lack of love every day, but God’s grace is everlasting and by His strength I’m growing in the fight.
This blog is where I share what I’m learning in God’s word, as well as occasional snippets of poetry and other writings, and updates on my publishing journey. I pray you’ll be blessed and encouraged by what you find here. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to drop me a line through the Contact page. I’d love to get in touch!
