No matter how much we study the Bible, how deeply and how often and how long, we will never run out of things to learn about God. On the contrary–everything we learn will just open up whole new vistas of knowledge and joy in Him. It’s like a little foretaste of eternity.
You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life. (John 5:39-40)
We don’t have to be afraid of doubts or hard questions–others’ or our own. God has given us every answer we need.
At the center of all history is the cross and the empty grave. (Also, this quote may or may not have been slightly inspired by this song).
God’s law actually isn’t about a bunch of arbitrary rules. It’s about love–God’s love for us, and how we can find our fulfillment in a relationship with Him and then show His love to others.
And lastly… the thing I’ve been learning over and over the past several years and basically the whole point of this book.
